01 The Origin

Witnessing inefficiency first-hand.

Before becoming an automation specialist, my background was in business administration. I managed the day-to-day tasks for various UK companies, and I saw a universal problem: talented people were spending their days on repetitive, mind-numbing manual work. This wasn't just inefficient; it was a barrier to growth.

This experience gave me a deep, practical understanding of business workflows. I saw the patterns, the pain points, and the places where systems failed to communicate. I knew that technology could solve these problems, and that conviction set me on a new path.

02 The Spark

Discovering Google Apps Script.

That's when I discovered Google Apps Script; the connective tissue for the entire Google Workspace. It was the key to unlocking the efficiency I knew was possible. I dove in, teaching myself to code and using my own processes as a laboratory.

Soon, I was building custom automations that managed emails, organised files, and synced data automatically. The hours I saved were staggering. I realised the bottlenecks I had eliminated for myself were the same ones holding other businesses back. My focus shifted from just *doing* tasks to *automating* them, and Empower Automation was born.
